2009 Pool Registration

Even though the weather is currently too cold to think about summer, the pool season is quickly approaching. We are planning on opening the pool on May 22. Registration will be Saturday, May 16 between 9:00AM and 12:00PM and again on Thursday, May 21 between 12:00PM and 3:00PM. Two years ago we installed a new access control system on the pool gate. This system allows the use of either a key card or an access code in order to enter the pool area. For the last two years we have used the access code system. Unfortunately there have been problems with codes being passed around to people who should not have access to the pool, so beginning with the 2009 pool season we will be switching to the key card system.

When you register for the pool this year, you will be issued a key card that may be used to enter the pool area. There will be a refundable $20 security deposit required for this card. In the event that your card is lost, this security deposit will be forfeited to the Baldwin Park HOA. A new card will be issued on payment of another $20 security deposit. Note that only one card per household will be active at any time. At the end of the pool season you may return your key card for a full refund of your security deposit, or you may keep your card for use the following year.

As always, any child under the age of 3 or one that has not been toilet trained must wear a swim diaper and plastic liners whenever they are in the pool area. Last year we had no incidents that required the pool to be closed and shock treated. We would like to repeat that this year, but it will again take the cooperation of all homeowners.
