Irrigation Water
Baldwin Park Homeowner Dan O. keeps an eye on our irrigation system. He notified us that our pumps shut down last night sometime when the water level got low enough to have the float shut it down. He suspects that it was due to over watering with this heat. Everything looked normal this morning when he reset the pumps & started them up.
If your sprinklers where supposed to run early this morning, you probably did not have any pressure. You may want to check your yards and try again. On the other hand, if your yards are having problems with the heat, it could be because you are over-watering, which encourages shallow roots and makes your lawns more likely to have problems with the heat. My yard is only watered every twice a week, and with the exception of some areas near the sidewalk where I have bad soil, my lawn is very green and healthy.
